Safety Issue: Falls overboard and falls into the water.

Boating: There were 794 falls overboard resulting in 293 fatalities reported in 2005 (USCG 2005 statistics) Falls overboard events lead to drowning, propeller strikes, collisions, capsizing and property damage. When you consider the number of unreported falls overboard events it’s easy to conclude that this type of accident happens all too often.

Workplace Safety: Employees whose jobs require duties on or near the water are exposed to particular workplace safety issues.
Marinas, wharves and other workplaces on or near the water represent workplace safety issues. Virtual Lifeline DL adds a heightened level of protection to workers in this environment.

Defense: Virtual Lifeline DL sounds an alarm alerting you that someone has fallen in the water. Prompt assistance may prevent injury or accidental drowning. Wear of a sensor by boat occupants and everyone on or near the water makes sound practice for safety!
How it works: Everyone on board or in the workplace wears a sensor. Once they enter the water and upon sensor submersion, the sensor immediately activates—sending a signal to the control module, which sounds an alarm. Once out of the water, simply shake excess water from the sensor and reset the control module; normal operation is restored.

Installation & Use: Virtual Lifeline is quick and easy to install … and a snap to use! If someone should go into the water, VL’s one button makes operation clear and simple. Our customers not only have enough sensors for everybody, but also consider it essential gear for pets and valuables.

Recommended Use: Can be used on any motorized and non-motorized environment, including sailboats, yachts, cabin cruisers or any vessel that need an alarm only device. Excellent for unsupervised swimming or nighttime protection for children. Superior workplace safety item for marinas, wharfs, stationary platforms and anywhere your personnel work on or near the water.
